Boots take a beating.
Training, matches, sweat, rain and mud all become part of a football boot's routine.
And after the final whistle, the smell is usually still there — in your bag, in the car, in the hallway.
Our Story
It started with smelly boots.
We're a six-person student team at Ropažu vidusskola in Latvia. We play football, and we wanted to make looking after football boots simple.

What if boot care was simple?
Instead of leaving boots outside, stuffing them with newspaper or trying to hide the smell, we wanted something made specifically for them.
Through Junior Achievement Latvia's #TechTrack student innovation program, we took that idea from a sketch to a working prototype over the school year — with mentoring from Anna Vikmane of Long On Capital.
That idea became FreshFoot: a compact box that uses UV light to disinfect and dry your boots.

1st place, out of 48 applicants.
FreshFoot was one of 12 teams selected from 48 applicants for #TechTrack — and finished the program in 1st place. We then presented FreshFoot on stage at JA Latvia's “Uzdrīksties uzvarēt” conference.
